Emma Manning graduated from StFX in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science with Joint Honours in Biology and Psychology. At StFX, Emma was able to explore her interest in scientific research, focusing on the environment and public health, and by working as a student researcher in various labs across campus over the summers. Her work culminated in her honours thesis focused on identifying cognitive decline in people with Multiple Sclerosis. She looks forward to her upcoming placement with the Saint John, NB based bio-tech start-up, BioHuntress, founded by Dr. Alli Murugesan, which aims to aid science researchers in translating their discoveries into commercial applications. After the fellowship, Emma aspires to pursue a graduate degree in either Neuroscience or Epidemiology.
