Allyson Amodeo graduated in May 2019 with a First-Class Honours Degree in history with a subsidiary in English.  She has been provided the amazing opportunity to continue to work at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) during the summer of 2020, and will be attending the University of Waterloo beginning in September 2020 to pursue an MA in history.

Her placement was completed at NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) where she worked in the Corporate Policy and Planning division on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team.  As a Policy Officer, Allyson supported the team with research, analysis and coordination for the Dimensions Pilot Program, which aims to advance EDI and address systemic barriers faced by underrepresented / disadvantaged groups in Canadian post-secondary institutions and transform the Canadian research ecosystem to be more diverse and inclusive.
